The best way to connect your checking account to a third-party service is through the manual verification process. Follow these steps below.
Many third-party services offer connection, through services like Plaid that verify your account via your online banking credentials. However, this can cause problems with linking to your actual primary checking account.
Note: It is always best to manually connect your Leaders accounts through these third-party services.
Connect to Venmo
Step 1: Select your profile image
Step 2: Choose 'Add a bank or card'
Step 3: Select 'Bank'
Step 4 - IMPORTANT: Do not click 'Next.' Select 'Verify bank manually instead.'
Step 5: Enter your routing and account number. If you don't remember this information, you can access it through online banking. That's it! Your account should now be linked.
Connect to Cash App
Step 1: Select profile image
Step 2: Select 'Linked Banks'
Step 3: Select 'Link bank.' You can also update bank information here as well.
Step 4: Select 'Continue'
Step 5: Type 'cash app' in the search box and select 'Cash App.' IMPORTANT: Do not type in or select 'Leaders Credit Union.'
Step 6: Select 'Try another institution' and then 'X' out of the screen.
Step 7: Select 'Yes, exit'
Step 8: Manually enter your routing and account number. If you don't remember this information, you can access it through online banking. That's it! Your account should now be linked.
Connect to PayPal
Step 1: Select 'Add new >' next to Linked banks and cards.
Step 2: Select 'Banks'
Step 3: Type in 'Leaders Credit Union' in the search bar.
Step 4: Don't type in your username and password. Instead scroll down and select 'Link your bank another way.'
Step 5: Manually enter your routing and account number and select 'Authorize and Link.' If you don't remember this information, you can access it through online banking. That's it! Your account should now be linked.
