Share Transfers
Instructions on how to set up Overdraft Transfers, Scheduled Disbursements, Loan Transfers and Dividend Transfers
Share Transfers
Keystone processes transactions in order they appear in the relationship tree Never delete transfers always EXPIRE.
Overdraft: Begin with checking account
- Open the Relationship Tree
- Right-click the share receiving overdraft protection
- Select Insert > Insert Share Transfer > Insert First or Last.
- Category - overdraft
- Method – share transfer
- Share – hit down arrow and select share sending funds to checking
- Enter effective date the transfer should begin, if not immediately
- If requested to be a temporary transfer, enter expiration date
- Click Insert
Scheduled Disbursement: Share to Share: Begin with share sending funds
- Open the Relationship Tree
- Right-click the Share sending funds
- Select Insert > Insert Share Transfer > Insert First or Last.
- Category – Scheduled disbursement
- Method – Share transfer
- Share – Select share
- Enter amount to be transferred
- Frequency – refer to ORG to know required fields
- Depending on what frequency selected, enter the dates the transfer should occur in Frequency Day 1 and/or Frequency Day 2
- Next posting date - enter date of the first transfer
- Leave effective date empty. Enter expiration date if desired
- Click Insert
Scheduled Disbursement: Share to Loan – Begin with Share
Note: Driven by amount and date selected in transfer setup. Will not send partial payments.
- Open the Relationship Tree
- Right-click the share sending funds
- Select Insert > Insert Share Transfer > Insert First or Last.
- Category – Scheduled disbursement
- Method – Loan Transfer
- Loan – Select Loan
- Enter amount to be transferred
- Frequency field – refer to frequency ORG to determine required fields
- Depending on what frequency selected, enter the dates the transfer should occur in Frequency Day 1 and/or Frequency Day 2
- Next posting date – enter date of first transfer
- Leave effective date empty. Enter expiration date if desired
- Click Insert
Auto Loan Payment: Begin with loan – Loan pulls funds
Note: Driven by loan due date and total amount due. Will pull partial payments.
- Update payment option field
- Open Relationship tree
- Left click on loan and update payment option to automatic transfer
- Create auto loan transfer record
- Open the Relationship Tree,
- Right-click the loan pulling payment
- Select Insert > Insert Loan Transfer > Insert First or Last.
- Category – Automatic loan payment
- Method – Share transfer
- Share – select share to pull funds from
- Enter effective date
- Click Insert
Dividends: How a CD receives dividends
Note: Two step process. First, update dividend posting to transfer. Secondly, Create dividend share transfer record.
- Change dividend posting to transfer
- Open relationship tree
- Left click on certificate
- Change dividend posting to transfer
- Click update
- Create dividend share transfer record
- Open relationship tree
- Right click on certificate
- Insert > Insert Share Transfer > Insert First
- Category – dividends
- Method – share transfer
- DO NOT ENTER AMOUNT OR PERCENTAGE
- Enter effective date
- Click insert
CD Maturity
- Open relationship tree
- Left click on certificate
- Update maturity posting to ‘Transfer then close’ or ‘Transfers then renew’
- Click update
- Confirmation window will pop up
- Click yes to insert a new Share Transfer record
- Category – defaults to maturity
- Method – share transfer
- Share – select share to send funds
- DO NOT ENTER AMOUNT OR PERCENTAGE
- Enter effective date the transfer should begin, if not immediately
- Click Insert
- Click yes to insert a new Share Transfer record
Share Transfer Frequency Guide
Important! For a transfer to occur on the day of the month (ex. Feb 28, April 30) enter 31 in the Frequency Day 1 Field
